Passwords in Grade 5

In October we have run a Digital Citizenship Lesson creating Strong Passwords. We have used Common Sense Media Resources for this lesson. The students first looked at the Do’s and Don’ts on how to make and use strong passwords. These tips were given to students as handouts to be put into their Digital Citizenship Folders. We have talked about how to create passwords and had two scenarios. The students find it challenging trying to find out a long password with a combination of words, symbols and numbers. At the end of the lesson students changed their email account passwords.
